Out with the old, and waiting for the new.

This was the front and back of our home before the April 16, 2011 tornado ripped us a new one.

This is the front and back of our home after the tornado.

The house was damaged beyond repair so we decided to knock down and build up.

We got the house knocked down.

Around the time of us knocking the house down we found a awesome builder (Schumacher Homes). At Schumachers local design center in Wilmington, NC we set down and custom designed our home. We used an existing plan that was close to what we wanted and took away things and added things until we planned what we wanted. 

This was the plan before we changed it.

This will be the front of our new home.

After we got the old home demolished and found a builder & financing, we cleaned up our lot.

The kids and I worked hard clearing all the left over ruble. 

We got the lot looking pretty good. 

We had a 2story 16x20 Barn Shed put on our lot. We won't have a garage this time around, so this shed will do the trick along with my 12x20 tool shed.

At this point 08/20/2011 the builder is ready to go, we are ready to go,

and we are all waiting for the construction loan to be finished. I was told that 08/23/2011 Tues will most likely be the day the construction loan stuff is done, from there its up to the builder to get it done and make Michelle happy.
