Not home improvement but it was a project

I bought my wife a used 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander. Just a few issues. A farmer had this car and was using it to haul diesel. Over the years the fuel made its way to the floor of the car and turned the padding and underlying rubber to sludge. This was not a fun project.

Here is how it started. Dirty and damn sure smelly
BEFORE

The car started like this under the carpet. That's diesel and oil damage.

I scrubbed and degreased the entire inside and painted over the finished clean metal.

The rear bushings needed replaced so I replaced them.

That is what a new arm and bushing looks like.
